Multnomah Village Kitchen

The Multnomah Village Kitchen was executed for a couple who own a 1920's craftsman home. The space had been redone numerous times over the last 8o years and had almost no relationship to its adjacent rooms. We removed old off-the-shelf cabinetry, soffits, linoleum and walls to open this kitchen to serve their home well. We installed a large central island around which all traffic now flows easily.  The cabinets are made of v-groove Douglas Fir and we selected broad planks of oak for the floor to match the rest of the house. The Hunter Green beveled tiles of the backsplash were bought from the outlet at Portland's own Pratt & Larson for a few hundred dollars. A custom blue and red striped roller shade from Bolliger Window Fashions and classic flush mount lighting from Rejuvenation complete the ensemble. In the end, not just the kitchen, but the whole house feel new.
